Friday, 31st of July: THE B FESTIVAL in the grounds of our neighbouring BAMBURGH CASTLE. Local musical talent from classical, opera, folk and jazz to pop and beyond, including performance by Seahouses lass Rhionne Gibb pictured. Entry from 6.00 pm: music 7.00 pm till sunset. Bring your own picnics, blankets, chairs ... £15.00 per person in aid of Hospice Care: tickets and details from Hospice Care. Sunday, 16th of August: CAR BOOT SALE at Seahouses Sports and Community Centre, 9.00 am to 12 noon, including raffle and refreshments. Tables/cars/vans £6.00.

Sunday, 30th of August: the GREAT NORTH BIKE RIDE is a charity event attracting literally thousands of cyclists who set off from our Seafield car park area to follow a coastal route down to Tynemouth Priory and Castle. Full details are set out on their www.greatnorthbikeride.com website.

Bank Holiday Monday, 31st of August: the annual SEAHOUSES LIFEBOAT FETE will have a wide variety of activities for all ages all around the seaward end of the village. The ~1.00 pm highlight of the day will, subject to service commitments, be an active demonstration involving use of the all-weather RNLB Grace Darling and the inshore Peter Downes, just offshore from the harbour.

Saturday, 5th of September: the 33rd ANNUAL SHOW of the North Sunderland and Seahouses Gardening Association in the Seahouses Sports and Community Centre. This is the Village Show, open to everyone of all ages, not restricted to members: see the wide-ranging schedule of classes to suit everyone. Exhibits mounted by 12.30 pm; open to visitors (£1.00, children free) 2.00 pm; presentations 3.30 pm; auction 3.45 pm.

Tuesday, 8th September: Various DANCE CLASSES begin in Seahouses Middle School. Dance Fitness; Adult Ballet; Adult Jazz; Children's Jazz; Children's (age 3+) Ballet. Book now: try it - no experience necessary: first week free! Details from Royal Academy of Dance teacher Georgia on 07414 874772.
