St. Cuthbert’s United Reformed Church, North Sunderland

Outside and inside the church.

The United Reformed Church in Seahouses is dedicated to the saint who had arguably the greatest influence in promulgating Christianity in this northern sector of Northumbria – Saint Cuthbert. His principal local connection is with the Priory on the Holy Island of Lindisfarne.  Click here for further biographical details.

St Cuthbert’s is part of a wider Mission Partnership of United Reformed congregations across North Northumberland, with other worship centres in Belford, Chatton, Wooler, Crookham, Horncliffe, and Berwick.

We celebrate Holy Communion at 9.00 am on the first Sundays in March, June, September, December, and on Easter Day.  We enjoy seasonal mid-week study groups, both ecumenical and ‘in-house’.  The congregation is glad to be part of Farne Churches Together.

The Minister is the Reverend David Herbert.  Being a small congregation a warm welcome is guaranteed for visitors and newcomers – whether recently moving into the village or people on holiday in the area, as well as our longer-term neighbours!

If you have a gift or skill to share we will happily create a space for you.
